Monterey Design Adds Design Services Vendor Spike Technologies to Its Growing Customer Base
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 4, 2000--Monterey Design
Systems(TM) today announced that it has added its first worldwide
design services customer, Spike Technologies, to its rapidly growing
customer base. Spike will integrate Monterey's complete physical
design solutions into a COT flow that is used for its design services
business.
``Because the design outsourcing business is growing at a healthy
rate, leading semiconductor conductor companies are requiring more
sophisticated physical implementation tools for their complex deep
submicron designs,'' said Nikhil Modi, president and chief executive
officer of Spike Technologies. ``Dolphin from Monterey Design was an
easy choice for us as it aligns with many of our customers' flows, is
able to handle the technical challenges our customers are faced with,
and increases our productivity with SoC designs.''
``We are pleased that a design services vendor such as Spike
Technologies that is dealing with advanced COT customers, has seen the
value in our integrated physical implementation solutions,'' said
Jacques Benkoski, president and chief executive officer of Monterey
Design Systems. ``This agreement is in line with our company strategy
to implement the most productive flow for deep submicron SoC designs.
We believe that this business agreement will be extremely beneficial
to Spike's design services customers, Spike and Monterey.''
